Censorship is So 1984 Pub Crawl

Censorship is So 1984 Pub Crawl

Wheatgrass Books invites the community to raise a glass to the freedom to read at the Censorship Is So 1984 Pub Crawl, part of the bookstore’s 4th Annual Banned Books Week Celebration. The event kicks off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11th at Wheatgrass Books, and will wind its way through some of Livingston’s most beloved bars, where local authors will read passages from banned and challenged books. Readers include: Amanda Fortini, Stacy Peterson, Todd Goddard, Mallory Rice, Todd Goddard, Earl Craig, and Marc Beaudin.

The event is about more than great cocktails (and mocktails!) and great books. It’s a celebration of free expression, community, and the stories that challenge, inspire, and connect us. The event hopes to blend the joy of literature with the spirit of downtown nightlife. Each stop offers a unique perspective on the power of words, reminding us all why the freedom to read is worth toasting.

We will meet at 4pm at Wheatgrass Books, 120 North Main Street to get begin the Crawl.
