RECEPTION & BOOK SIGNING
Ex Libris: Recycled Book Art & The Art of the Bookplate Art Opening & 4th Friday Book Signings
Join us for the opening reception of the Ex Libris: Recycled Book Art & The Art of the Bookplate exhibit and September’s 4th Friday Book Signings with author and fly fisherman Paul Weamer and Billings poet Cara Chamberlain, on Friday, September 22nd from 5 to 8 pm.
Cara Chamberlain will sign copies of her most recent book of poetry, To Gaze Upon Their Loveliness.
“Chamberlain pairs lyric poems with provocative science facts in an exploration of the sex lives of chickadees and hawks, earthworms and ants, elk and jaguars, butterflies and jellyfish” writes Janine DeBaise, author of Body Language. “She sets before us beauty and violence, dying oceans and human greed, the lasciviousness of nature’s creatures, and a human love song to the earth.”
Chamberlain is the author of Hidden Things, The Divine Botany, and Lament of the Antichrist in a Secular World. Her poetry has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including Nimrod, Boston Review, The Southern Review and Poetics for the More-Than-Human World: An Anthology. She holds degrees in English and creative writing from the University of Utah and Purdue University, and has taught writing and literature for over 25 years in Wyoming, Maine, Canada, Florida and Montana.
Paul Weamer will sign copies of his most recent book, Favorite Flies for Yellowstone National Park. Paul is a Fly Fisherman magazine contributing editor, and he has written several fly fishing books. He is the Coordinator of the Yellowstone Fly Fishing Volunteer Program, and he also guides fly fishers in Montana and Yellowstone National Park. Paul and his family live in Paradise Valley, MT.
