JUNE News at Wheatgrass Books LINK IN BIO Tonight at 6 pm! “In early 20th-century mining country, a tough little girl digs herself out of a life without choices. [...] The narrator’s voice and her story are so unusually vivid it feels like Zuravleff is channeling a real person." What’s behind the Green Door? A show you don’t want to miss! Robert Spannring’s Art of Meanders. Join us at 6 pm this Friday when Robert will be in conversation with Mary Kay Zuravleff. Artist reception to follow. See you this Friday at Wheatgrass for an evening of reading, friendship and art! Mary Kay Zuravleff and longtime friend Robert Spannring will share the “stage” with conversation, a reading and artist reception! We’ll start at 6 pm. Thank you to everyone who showed up yesterday for the Livingston Pride Coalition’s and our community’s first Drag Story Hour Thank you for helping to keep the event non-violent and fun for the kids. The neo-nazi protestors who also showed up in the ugliest of ways serve as a reminder to all allies that our queer community is the target for this kind of madness and though they hide their faces, they are well organized. We have postcards at Wheatgrass for you. Write your legislators, register to vote. Vote. Show up to LBTQ+ events. Read books by queer authors. The hate that filled the air yesterday was truly traumatizing, but the love was bigger and stronger and what I’ll choose to hold onto today!
